Common Questions About NDIS Support

Have a question that's not answered here? We'd love to hear from you.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that provides funding to eligible people with disability to access the supports they need. Once you have an approved NDIS plan, you can use your funding to access services from registered or unregistered providers like Friends For Life Care.

To be eligible for the NDIS, you generally need to be under 65 years of age, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent disability that significantly affects your daily life. The NDIS website has full eligibility details and an access request process.

With plan management, a registered plan manager handles your NDIS funding and pays providers on your behalf. Self-management means you manage your own funds directly. Agency management (NDIA-managed) means the NDIA pays registered providers directly. Friends For Life Care works with participants across all three management types.

Simply contact us by phone, email, or the form on this page. We'll have a friendly conversation to understand your needs, review your NDIS plan, and develop a support plan together. There is no obligation and the initial consultation is completely free.

Not at all. You are welcome to contact us at any stage — whether you're just exploring options, waiting for your plan to be approved, or ready to start services. We're happy to answer questions and help you understand what support may be available.

We provide disability support services across Greater Sydney, including the Inner West, Western Sydney, Northern Beaches, South Sydney, and surrounding areas. Contact us to confirm coverage in your specific suburb.

We take the time to understand your preferences, interests, cultural background, and goals before matching you with a support worker. We want the relationship to feel comfortable and natural. If a match isn't working well, we'll work with you to find a better fit.
